Pear, Pistachio and Cardamom

I’m definitely making this one again! Pistachio, pear, and cardamom turned out to be an even better flavour combo than I expected — nutty, sweet, and just all-around delicious. Honestly, tasting this cake makes it hard to believe there was a time when I didn’t like cardamom. Yep, true story. My brother went through a serious cardamom phase years ago — to my despair — and pretty much added it to everything when my sister and I came over for dinner. Let’s just say... I wasn’t a fan back then. Now though? I wouldn’t mind bringing that phase back! 😅 Me myself sprinkles it over basically everything nowadays!
If I do say so myself, I really nailed the buttercream this time. It’s so smooth it’s basically silk. And adding pistachio spread into it? One of my better ideas, for sure. I’m already dreaming up my next cake with pistachio buttercream!
Of course, there’s always room for improvement — I gather a bit more filling next time would really enhance the flavours!
