Hello you,
First and foremost, thank you for stopping by — and welcome! This is a place for all cake lovers out there, or for anyone who simply enjoys looking at cake photos (please tell me I’m not the only one 😅).
I know you’re probably eager to start exploring, so I’ll keep this short. I guess you could call me a bit of a cake design geek. My love for baking cakes began about eight years ago and has since grown into one of my most rewarding hobbies. I truly believe in the saying “we eat with our eyes” — so with that, I’m excited to present to you…

#14 Chocolate, Raspberry and Hazelnut
I spend quite a lot of my spare time (read: A LOT) at a CrossFit gym — it’s my happy place, and I get to be surrounded by such wonderful people. Gunta is one of them: a warm and kind-hearted woman who wanted to make her twins' 25th birthday celebration something extra special.
I felt truly honoured when she asked me to bake their cake!
The cake features chocolate sponges with raspberries tucked inside. Between the layers you’ll find either a medium dark chocolate ganache with an roasted hazelnut crunch, or a raspberry mousse with a raspberry curd insert. It’s all covered in a thin layer of chocolate ganache and finished with a lightly flavoured chocolate buttercream.
To finish it off: homemade macarons and hazelnut paste, chocolate sprinkle in different colours, dried raspberries, a few sugar coated berries and wafer paper flowers and, as always, buttercream ❤️
